Who is your favorite Harry Potter character?
Anonymous

Mmm, I’d have to say Oliver Wood because…

…I’m a keeper.

(no really, I was the keeper for my uni’s quidditch team)

But in all seriousness, my favorite is Kingsley Shacklebolt. Love his name and that he’s an Auror. Plus, J.K. Rowling describes him as calm and controlled as well as having strong leadership skills, which really resonates with me.

All good things…

…must come to an end. Thanks for the memories, House. It’s been 8 great years, and I’m glad to have experienced it. Here’s to the only TV show I’ve loved enough to make a piano video about.

what is your zodiac sign and do you think it fits you?
Anonymous

Aries the Ram. Just for fun, I’ll address both the Chinese definition and the Western definition.

According to Western tradition, Aries are:

  • adventurous and energetic
  • pioneering and courageous
  • enthusiastic and confident
  • dynamic and quick-witted
  • selfish and quick-tempered
  • impulsive and impatient
  • foolhardy and daredevil

I’d say most of these fit me well, with the exception of being selfish, quick-tempered, foolhardy and impatient. I’ve an extremely long fuse in most cases, though there are a very select few things that will catalyze things a bit.  I’m also not bouncing off the walls 24/7, but I do get pretty energetic about certain things.

Adventures help break up the monotony of academia so I tend to take those a lot.

The Chinese definition says that the Ram is:

Righteous, sincere, sympathetic, mild-mannered, observant, artistic, intellectual, ingenious, innovative, creative, mothering, peaceful, and generous.

Indecisive, over-passive, worrier, pessimistic, sensitive, shy, and weak-willed.

Again, I’d say most of these fit me pretty well, probably even better than the Western definition. Unfortunately, my career choice has made me somewhat of a pessimist and a worrier, but it is what it is. I used to be shy, but I took steps to change that. I do listen what people have to say, but by no means am I weak-willed. I’m not very sensitive either, though I do have a soft spot for certain things. Likewise, I can be indecisive and maybe a little too passive about certain things, but not most.

Well that was probably a lot longer than it needed to be, but I like being articulate.

on a scale of one to ten what is your favorite movie?
Anonymous

The thing about me is that I don’t really have a specific favorite; it’s more of a group of 5 that rotates every so often.

Right now, that list is comprised of Ocean’s 11, Love ActuallyLe concertGood Will Hunting, and Se7en.

Ocean’s 11 and Love Actually have earned permanent spots, though.

if your life was a disney movie which one would you want it to be?
Anonymous

Oh man, there’s a bunch I could pick for so many different reasons, but I think right now I’d pick Ratatouille. I love French culture as well as all kinds of food so being able to live in Paris and eat a variety of delicious food would be lovely.

what are some things you wouldn't answer?
Anonymous

Really sensitive topics, such as views on politics, religion, and whatnot. Probably certain details about my personal life too, but I’ll be the judge of that.

I’m bored?

I need a break from studying. Ask me anything, and I’ll respond.
